In a public health climate of a growing health crisis and mounting health care costs, more attention needs to be given to eating healthfully and staying active, especially around a busy work schedule.
Over the last several years, Employee Wellness programs are increasing in the work place. By law, incentivized wellness programs must be designed to improve health or prevent disease among employees, and companies are able to provide workers with rewards.
With the growing health crisis and mounting health care costs. A new direction for battling diseases is needed. PCRM’s Food for Life program is an innovative approach to these medical challenges. Our wellness program is designed and has been proven to improve health or prevent disease among employees and the general population.
Most wellness programs focus on fitness and exercise, and little on what foods (and why) we choose them to nourish our bodies. The Food for Life program can offer what other programs cannot.
As PCRM Certified Food for Life Instructors, Jovan “Gigi” Roberts and Pamela Ferrara are committed to helping companies and communities create a healthy productive workforce and thriving communities. Both Gigi and Pam know first-hand how good nutrition can play a big role in preventing and reversing health problems. Gigi was able to reverse her pre-diabetes diagnosis and Pam was able to reverse her irritable bowel syndrome diagnosis. Both ladies have experienced significant drops in their cholesterol levels, healthy weight loss, and increased energy by eating low-fat, plant based whole foods. In addition to achieving these goals, they have continued to maintain and improve their overall health for several years now. Their training, along with practicing what they preach allows them to provide an engaging class setting and great support to their class participants. Hear what former class participants are saying.
