Type 2 diabetes is killing us, our families, our communities, and it is a major contributor to rising health care costs that are out of control. According to the CDC (Center of Disease Control) 1 and 11 Americans have type 2 diabetes. 1 and 3 have pre diabetes, and there are lots of people walking around who don’t even know they have full blown diabetes or pre diabetes.
Pam Ferrara and I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Joel K. Kahn, M.D. (who specializes in Invasive, Nuclear, and Preventive Cardiology) to talk about how type 2 diabetes is dramatically affecting people, how quickly people can begin to turn their health around when they change their eating habits. How a diet rich in veggies, fruits, and healthy grains is the best diet for diabetes, the best diet plan for weight loss, and will reduce high blood pressure.
